HELLU, i'm sorry there isn't a whole lot of restaurants in this list cuz very often I eat in the Hanyang University canteen for lunch (biz canteen basement!! They sometimes have seafood/vegeterian options but keep your eyes PEELED for any hidden meat, or I eat from the 7 eleven which is SUPERB) and sometimes I eat at random food places that I forget to take photos of, or I don't know the name of the shop!
Hope this helps :)
Oh, and at the end of this post i'll put in the various tags I have for different places/ types of food/ genres etc so you can just click on them for easy reference since my posts are all jumbled up?!
Anything just ask me and i'll try to reply to the best of my ability ;)

Sulbing @ Hongdae

I had mine at Hongdae outlet but honestly you can find Sulbing ANYWHERE. Myeongdong, wangsimni etc etc just keep your eyes out for it LOL it's the largest chain of bingsu in Korea i think and also wildly popular with the locals.
This outlet was SOOO noisy I couldn't really hear myself LOL
Blueberry Yogurt Cheese Bingsu, one of the most expensive ones I think, at about 10,000 won?
It was good though, would've gone back to try more flavors but time didn't permit LOL
Really big and filling though LOL

Homilpat @ Ewha University

This place is really popular with the locals too, and I was lucky that there were a few empty seats when I went in, and the prices are affordable too!
It filled up quickly after that though!!! Heng we got there earlier hehe
The buzzer was cute too hehe
Ordered the green tea red bean one! It was quite nice because the ice was soooo fine and it was surprisingly light and smaller than the ones we have in SG! I'd choose this anytime huhuhu
PLEASE COMEEEEE
Directions can be found on this blog :)\
I pretty much stumbled here after dinner at Gosame (Sinchon area) cuz they're all linked :)

Red Sun @ Wangsimni

Chose theeeee Gochujang (red pepper paste) flavor because previously we chose the jjangmyeon flavor when we tried before! They have multiple outlets and we tried the one at Myeongdong previously! 13,000 won for 2 pax :-)
Just ask them if it has pork/meat in it! This doesn't have :)))
They are really famed for their tteokbokki which is really chewy but to me it's just value-for-money and yummy hehe cuz i'm not a huge fan of tteobokki (but it's really quite nice la) oh and t=at the end you can choose between dessert or they fry the rice in your pot, which is quite interesting even though you'll probably be super stuffed by then LOL
This was at the food court level of Wangsimni! The food court is good but ordering system complicated + everything in Korean you can't be 100% sure there's not pork somewhere so we decided to go red sun when we were at this place looking for dinner :)
SUPER NEAR SCHOOL TOOO

Gosame @ Sincho

Gosame is a specialty fish restaurant that is famed for their grilled fish and is patronised by locals. Of course, they offer other dishes to cater to a greater audience such as Tofu Bean Paste Stew and Kimchi Stew.
This is how the shop front looks like! As with many small family restaurants in Korea, this was relatively hard to locate but it was so good that we went back twice in a month.
Address53-8 Changcheon-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, South Korea
Hours: 11AM to 10PM

Gosame sells two kinds of mackerels: grilled mackerel(7,000 won) and Spanish mackerel (8,000 won). The additional SGD1.20 spent on the Spanish Mackerel proved to be a worthy investment, because the latter was definitely more tasty with no fishy taste at all. It was also nicely charred without being burnt, which is the best way to grill food!
We also ordered the stir fried squid(6,500 won) which was pretty impressive too, sufficiently flavorful and definitely not overcooked. The soybean stew (5,500 won) would be a good option if you visit Gosame with a vegetarian companion but it was average otherwise, not a bad dish but not outstanding.
As with any Korean restaurants, the banchan was free and really good!

On our second visit, we ordered the tofu stew as well(5,500 won). The tofu stew was chock full of tofu! Probably an entire block of tofu in it that's absorbed all the flavors of kimchi stew. We loved it! We're also glad to say that the fish was consistently good on both visits, absolutely yummy.
There's a map you can follow on this blog, even though it's in Malay :)

Only Jesus @ Hongdae/ Hongik University

We came in here because the menu looed like there wasn't any pork but I think they've got spam in ONE item or something. JUST ONE :-(
Anyhow, this was salmon pasta!! Or something, Probably about 8,000 won or so!
Salmon bowl!! Something like salad and bibimbap mixed, and it was really good and this was my order YUMZ and a lot of salmon hehehe i was happy, about 9,500 won or so

Yonggeumok(mudfish soup) @ City Hall/ Eujiro 1-ga

My favourite Korean eatery that I would say is my hidden find! You don't read it in much places but it's one of my favourite eateries in Korea and definitely the most traditional one I've been to. They sell Chueotang, or Mudfish Soup.
I found out about this shop after researching about hot soups along Line 2 since I was really craving hot soup after a day at Carribean Bay. It was also pure luck that this place was easy to locate, in between City Hall station and Eujiro-1-ga! I'd recommend getting off at Eujiro-1-ga at City Hall station was really big and hard to navigate.

The location was convenient but the actual shop could be rather hard to locate. We tried using Google Maps but it's pretty inaccurate in Seoul and we nearly gave up.. then we turned into a lane and saw it! Just keep a lookout for this sign outside the shop.

Address: 165-1 Da-dong, Joong-gu, Seoul 서울 중구 다동 165-1
Hours: 10:30am~10pm.on weekdays;
closed every second and fourth Sunday of the month

This traditional restaurant won an award regarding heritage preservation. I have a soft spot for traditional restaurants and really hope this restaurant continues to operate for a long time to come.

The name itself might scare you off, but you really have to try it! At 10,000 won, it's definitely worth the price. They gave so much ingredients it filled me right up without even having to touch the noodles, but my companion said the noodles were really soft but chewy with a great taste, unlike our yellow noodles in Singapore with a strong alkaline taste.
Here at Yonggeumok: you can choose to have your food the traditional way (mudfish in the soup) or the less cumbersome way (ground up mudfish in the soup) and we chose the former even though it meant that the mudfish would come with (edible) bones for the sake of tradition.
The soup tasted really homely but the mudfish required intense chewing due to the plethora of bones. They added so much ingredients-- full of mudfish, tofu, beancurd puffs and vegetables!
One dish encompassing both quantity and quality? Yes, please!

Their plethora of banchan! I didn't try the garlic but my favourite banchan was definitely the beansprouts here with free refill! I love the food here, and the service is homely and impeccable.
After this meal, take a short walk to the nearby Myeongdong to digest your food!

EID Restaurant @ Itaewon

EID Restaurant has been reviewed by several food blogs and they were all positive reviews, so I was absolutely stoked to visit this eatery! Do note that there are only three options for you if you walk in, but they are glad to accommodate your requests and prepare the dish you desire for you if you call them up beforehand.

(Credits: EID Guesthouse Facebook Page)
EID Guesthouse is located at Itaewon, also known as the halal food haven amongst Muslims.
It's quite a long walk from the subway station but it'll be worth it (free refills of soup, banchan, tea and rice!). Do visit their facebook page for directions (with pictures), it was pretty clear!
Address: 67, Usadan-ro 10-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:30 am – 9:00 pm

We ordered their Jjimdak with Sweet and Sticky Sauce (12,000 won) that came with ricecakes and carrots, together with the mandatory bowl of rice. It was pretty good with the chicken chewy but not overcooked. However, I won't order this again if I were to be given a choice as they had stronger dishes.

I was really excited for the Samyetang (12,000 won) since my companion couldn't try the popular one in Korea. Unfortunately, the ginseng taste was not significantly pronounced and landed more of a background flavor. However, it was definitely value-for-money as the chicken was huge, maybe half a chicken or so, and I would order this over the Jjimdak as the chicken was pretty tasty here despite the weak ginseng broth.

Apart from the free banchan, they also offered free tea that was absolutely yummy and sweet. No idea what tea it was since it's their homemade recipe but it was really good.

The last dish we ordered was the beef bulgogi (10,000 won) which I forgot to take a picture of. It was sweet, not spicy at all and definitely marinated well. It's also served with my favourite mushrooms, so my review might be biased but this was definitely my favourite dish of the day-- not to mention the cheapest! It was also my companion's favourite dish of the day so you should really give it a try if you go there!

Yonggeumok(mudfish soup) @ City Hall/ Eujiro 1-ga

This might be the most traditional resturant I've been in Seoul -- Chueotang aka Mudfish soup shop hehe
Mudfish soup???? Sounds super weird right but i was really craving for a hot bowl of something after a day at carribean bay so I somehow stumbled upon this place and since it was on the green line(Line 2)... it was pretty convenient
Getting down at City hall was a wrong choice though cuz the station is sooooooo big and we walked for super long haha i'd recommend getting off at Eujiro 1-ga! You can walk to Myeongdong after this if you wanna digest your food.. it's pretty near!
Tried using Google Maps to find but Gmaps isn't exactly accurate in Seoul so we died and nearly gave up but decided to turn into a lane and BAM here we were!!
Yay traditional restaurants and their feels ^.^
Mudfish soup!!! It was super filling by the way, so much ingredients and super worth it! They'd ask you if you prefer the traditional way (having the mudfish in the soup) or the soup w mudfish ground up in it. We chose the former for the sake of traditional taste huhu
It was really interesting but mudfish had soooo many bones try to bite as hard as you can!! The soup had super a lot of mudfish and other ingredients that seemed liek tau pok etc hehe it was really good!.
It was about 10,000 won per pax and I think it was a good price to pay for the amount of ingredients and for a taste of tradition :)
And their plethora of side dishes!! Koreans really love their garlic... I didn't dare to try LOL but the beansprouts were really good. They gave a tiny bowl of some noodles as the side which were really soft too!
Try it if you can!!

Food Court @ Jamsil

Went to Jamsil to check out the Lotte mart, and realised many shops and the other food places was closed :-(
But if you go and shops are open, JUST ROAM AROUND and look at the different menus! Many have pork but some have minimal meat :-)
I had stir-fried octopus with rice! (7,500 won)
If you're worried they won't know what you want and mess up your order, take a photo of your order and show it to them!! This was a really useful tip for us hehe
it was pretty meh :-(

BoA travel house @ Hongdae (Hongik University)

This place is kind of hard to find actually, because it's more of a backpacker's hostel so yup; we wanted to eat another vegeterian place initially but I think it closed down or something :-( Anyhow, this was SO GOOD so no regrets!!
And yep, we got this place from this link: http://www.havehalalwilltravel.com/blog/7-halal-korean-restaurants-in-korea-you-must-visit-at-least-once/ really very useful to read!!
Oh but this place has changed, they have their own restaurant now so you don't have to preorder, and they have quite a few choices so just go down and look and the menu!!
YAS IT'S HALAL
Errr but they'll prep and cook on the spot so they told us we had to wait like 30 mins, we were fine with it but if you're rushing this might not be the best place to go cuz all the finding + waiting
Worth it though!
This is how it looks like at the front, then you just walk in and tell them you're there for the restaurant :-)

Attached it for your easy reference! :)
Fried chickennnnnnn and I think beef dosirak or something hahaha
They gave us free fries as apology cuz we had to wait HAHA so sweet :')
I think we waited 30 mins cuz of the chicken though, which was superrr good!
We got the soy option of the fried chicken!
Beef dosirak! Not bad :) (8,000 won)
So happy we could eat fried chicken at least once in Korea? and it was so good too :') all that finding was worth it!! hehe (10,000 won)
it was a lot too.......... we were stuffed LOL
With blueberry ade... seriously, this country has the best fruity-flavored stuff!!!
OUR FEAST WAS GUD :-)

Bonjuk, Bibimbap @ Cheongnyan-ni

I actually came here after going to Lotte mart @ Cheongnyanni station! They have a few lotte marts across Korea and I think this is the smaller one, please just go to the one at Seoul station if you don't have time!! This is at Line 1, one stop away or so from Wangsimni station! Near to hanyang university and where I stayed for the summer :)
I thiiiink there's not pork here but if there is please don't hate me :(
This restaurant is actually a merger of Bonjuk and another bibimbap place :) It's located at the third(?) floor, or the floor that you enter from if you enter from the front door :) There's a congregation of eateries there if you wanna try other places, but this bibimbap here is actually really really good :-)

Yas tuna kimchi dolsot bibimbap SO GOOOOD and yes if you're worried they won't understand you, take a photo of the food!! It works really well HAHA
Please try this if you love bibimbap; something about the stone bowl and the burnt (just barely) rice at the bottom YUMZ
Octopus kimchi porridge-- As usual it's a HUUUUUUUUUGE bowl and I couldn't finish HAHAH I preferred the bibimbap to this though because the bibimbap was really really good (though he preferred my porridge so each to his own!!)

School Food @ Noon Square

Came here after going to palaces with friends so I didn't take many photos, only those of my own food and shared food :(
This is at the basement of Noon Square!
Something like ramen with egg or something HAHA  I forgot the name but it was one of the cheapest on the menu at about 5,500 won or so-- it was really good though! Tasted like maggi but nicer? Idk you might not appreciate it but I really liked it la so HAHA
We ordered this to share! Something like Korean sushi and no ragratssssssss it was good!!! :) Squid ink maki for 8,000 won!

Thanks Nature Cafe @ Hongdae (Hongik University station)

NOT SURE IF SEEING A SHEEP WAS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST but sure was excited to visit these sheeps!! hehe
These sheeps are kept outside the cafe setting, in case you're worried of something; and there are only two sheeps :( still a great load of fun though.
We went there are caught the time when their owner(?) were feeding them so we saw them in action LOL otherwise they may be just sleeping if you're unlucky
When we went at first, only one was out of the cage (we weren't allowed to go in) but better than nothing!! still so cute hehe
So fluffyyyy, we saw photos of them when they were younger and they were allowed to venture into the cafe!! My guess is they're too big now :-(
The fooood. The sheeps are outside so I guess if you're that kind of person you could just sneakily take pics with the sheeps outside, but hey the cafe's gotta make money to survive right? So...... we tried the honey bread nad blueberry ade
Ade is basically soda water with whatever fruit you choose from... THE ADE WAS SO LEGIT there were real bluebs and everything; think i'll hate all the artificial drinks even more now LOOOL

We took off the whipped cream cuz we're not a fan; the honey bread wasn't too bad and was really really filling so it can really be a meal or shared between friends! You can try the bingsu too though i'm not too sure how it tastes like!!

 QT PIEEEE good experience :-)

Alchon Albab @ Ewha University

A quick search online led me to realise that this is not their only outlet, there are a few branches but I only chanced upon this one! But concept should be the same eh
This is the link to another review and she gives written direction + a map!!
I think her directions are pretty clear ^
This is albab, which is like bibimbap with fish roe! It's actually really good like bibimbap and really affordable because I guess it's near Ewha university? So... affordable food yas
They have an option for you to choose no pork/no ham/ no bacon etc you can just tell the waiter!
PLS TRY IT IF YOU CAN
It's in one of the lanes you turn into when you walk towards the shoppping area from the main street!! V worth it for the price

Tteokbokki buffet @ Myeongdong Noon Square

There are actually plentyyyy of tteokbokki buffets around in Korea so just look around!! And honestly they are same price as usual food there LOL  so go ahead and enjoy
This one we went was located at Myeongdong, towards the end of one of its food streets, located near the famed money changers (for their good rates!)
It was the top few levels of the mall
I wouldn't say you HAVE to go to this buffet and not the rest cuz I haven't been to others though I've seen cheaper ones in Ewha etc but this one only has Sundae (Pig blood sausage) and i guess some other sausages? So we just chose vegetables and a lot of different types of noodles and mushrooms, fishcakes and tteokbokki etc and avoided the stuff we didn't know!
We liked this also because it had fried stuff that were good like fried sushi, fried sweet potato and fried squid or something and they were rlyyy yummu hahaha
We added cheese for 2,000 won more because CHEESE and it was so much I could never finish mine hahaha
I loved the seaweed there!!! I would spam it hehehe
It's actually really, really popular with the locals LOL there was a 90-min limit and there were queues forming outside at 7ish

I would really recommend trying tteokbokki buffets at least once cuz it's really yummy :-)
